Photographer's Note

This bridge is in a really tiny town called Cameron, on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Northern Arizona, just east of the Grand Canyon. It's spanning really little canyon (it's only about a 200m span). It was built in 1911, and in 1958 was converted to a pipeline bridge and is now closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. There is a gate at both ends, and i had to stick my arms and camera very carefully through the gate to get this picture.

I have been to Cameron a few times (we always stop for Navajo tacos at the little cafe, highly recommended!) and it's never been a good time of day to take a picture. This time it was about 4:30 in the afternoon and the shadows were very long across the deck, which is just what I was wanting.
