An amazing and pin-sharp photo of this elegant heron in the high grass. It stands out perfectly from the bright yellow background. Also the composed is very well-balanced and spot-on.

yellow huh? interesting choice, one which I wouldn't have even thought of. but i guess it created the best contrast with the Herring, to make it pop and stand out as an almost silhouette. It worked out pretty well, who'd have known! cheers

A yellow, stylish looking "beauty". A lovely eye-catching scene, depicting the true spirit of the outdoors in real action. Super exposure and sharpness, a magnificent photograph. Just wondering if there was an alligator in sight too. TFS!!!.

Hi Jimmy.

First, thank you so much for your recent critiques to my photos. It means something coming from you. As I look through your gallery there's one treasure after another. Maybe I can make a book if I end up visiting all the independent countries? I very much like the idea of making a book. For now I'm just playing with ideas for a personal travel inspiration book with photos, drawings, statistics, quotes from my travels, recipes and so on.

I think you could easily join me on the book you're anticipating, judging by this photo. I'm a big fan of minimalism and this is excellent executed. Perfect light and well done spotting the symmetry.

Hi Jimmy,

You had a good idea to use the yellow filter. The point of view is showing the details of the bird it might be a Great Heron. The filter has a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

The snake like head of the profiled heron reminded me of the plague of Burmese pythons over running Florida. Hope you don't run into any. A lovely golden hue in the bg. Almost looks like a sepia print. Tfs!

Hi Jimmy Nice work on your behalf that could be interpreted either as a pre or post-processing which conveys an autumnal dry look to these reeds, natural environment of the heron; itelf standing beautifully right-on a vertical tiers line for an enjoyable setup. Cheers

nice use of the intense yellow to show this compo with an intense graphic aspect where the bird is the main personage. I liked the compo. well done and so beautiful.
