Photographer's Note

The Prallsville Mills were once a thriving industrial complex in what is known today as Stockton, NJ. Where trains once brought delivered goods to and from the mills, tourists, cyclists, and photographers now roam. The mills were abandoned in the 1950's and left to "demolition by neglect". Eventually the site was put up for sale as an attractive site for townhomes. But a local resident purchased it in 1969 and held on to it until the State of New Jersey purchased it in 1973. It became included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The red building reflected in the creek is the old grain silo. I am standing on the the old railroad bridge. An alternative view of these buildings can be found here.
