Photographer's Note

There was a quarter in Dublin with plenty of houses beeing built of simple red bricks without any decorations and as all of the buildings looked the same someone had the great idea to have at least the doors painted in a different colours.

Most of these doors are to be found around Merrion Square and in fact nobody cares today about the rather boring facades, but everyone is looking for the fancy doors and you may even see them on plenty of postcards and posters everywhere in Dublin.
