Photographer's Note

In 1608, Samuel de Champlain arrived in "Kbec" (Algonquin word meaning "where the River narrows"), coming from Honfleur in France, and stablished the beginning of a permanent French presence in North America.
This year of 2008, Quebec City is celebrating 400 years of its foundation.
Festivities have already started and will continue during all the year.

I've taken this picture from Grande Alle Est, the old architecture facing the new one. I've enhanced contrast, bright, sharpness, and the blue of the sky. I've also tried to remove noise from the sky. I've added a frame.
The round tower is a 360 revolving restaurant of Le Concorde Hotel, with breathtaking views of the city and the majestic St. Lawrence River.

In WS-1, the same photo only resized + frame.
In WS-2, a wider view.

I hope you like it.
