Photographer's Note

Marshland on the east coast of New Brunswick, near Bouctouche. This community lies 40 km. north of Moncton, where the Bouctouche River empties into Northumberland Strait. Bouctouche was first settled by Francois LeBlanc in 1785 as an Acadian community. Tourism and fishing are the primary economic activities.
