Photographer's Note

The statues on the photo are on the eastern terras of Nemrut Dagi. Nemrut Dagi is a mountain in the south east of Turkey. It has an artificial top, that is created by king Antiochus. Erected more tan two thousand years ago, it is astonishing to look at. The artificial top is about 50 meters high. The mountain itself buyt hte way is already 2100 meters high! The statues used to be about 5 meters high but in the course of time they have tumbled down. Still it is an impressive site, that is visited by hundreds of people every day. In the late afternoon you can watch the sunset on the western terras, which is almost the same as this one.
Photo was made about half an hour before sunset.
