Photographer's Note

A view of the hills and fields above Winchcombe along the Cotswold Way in Gloucestershire. We had been walking in a thunderstorm, our boots soggy, when we came over a ridge and the skies began to clear. This section of the path wanders down to Sudeley Castle and Winchcombe, both of which places of interest have recently been well photographed and described by TE member Kath Featherstone. (Feather).

The Cotswold Way is a 102 mile (164km) long distance footpath, running along an escarpment of the Cotswold Hills from Chipping Campden to Bath. Although one of the most popular walking areas in the U.K., it was not officially inaugurated as a National Trail until May 24, 2007.
