Photographer's Note
Taken towards the last rays of sun reflecting off two Class 14 diesel locomotives. This was taken one evening, part way through a recent gala weekend on the West Somerset Railway. Typically (for British weather), the sun came out after services had finished for the day. But then again, they do say you get the best light at either end of the day!

A lovely sharp picture full of "mood" with the low evening light reflected off those big machines. Considering the difficult lighting, this picture is perfectly exposed too.

Hi Robert,
Light is indeed excellent giving strong contrast. Use of tele shows well a bit wavy pattern on rails. A good shot except that I think framing is a bit off. I find little interest on the bg shed and would like to see more of the train.

Hi Robert, As with the photo of the rolls, the light here is stunning & highlights some great detail on both the train & down on the tracks, the overall composition is excellent & although this is colour, there is a nice sepia tone to the shot, with a splash of blue & red, TFS an impressive posting, kind regards Wilson

Hi Robert. This is an excellent photo. The compressed perspective and high contrast give this shot a very graphic quality. The warm soft light is a bit of a contradiction to the hard nature of the subject. Well presented and thanks for sharing.
