Photographer's Note
Taken a few days ago on Stanage Edge in Derbyshire. This was my first visit to the Peak District National Park. As I was up there on business I didnt get to see anywhere other than a couple of brief visits to Stanage Edge. But what a fantastic location.
It had been extremely foggy all day. I was initially dismayed as I wanted to catch a great sunset from the top of the rocky outcrop. But as I drove towards it the fog kept visibility really poor and so gave me little chance of any good light. But I decided to perservere and to my surprise the fog actually makes this image. It simplifies the background, accentuates the colour in the sky and gives the shot a sense of mystery. A valuable lesson learned for me there!
There seems to be a wealth of opportunity for the photographer here. I hope to return soon.

Good morning Adam!
That really seems to be a great place. these rocks and the a bit hazy sight down to the landscape have an a bit mystic atmosphere. The contrast between the clear rocks and the scenery down in the valley works very well here. I like this one very much.
Greetings from Germany - and have a nice weekend!

Hi Adam,
Once again, fantastic composition and colours. I am always amazed at the amount of detail you manage to get in the foreground on your photos.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Adam,
Stunning image! I love the rocks and pools of water in the foreground and the soft, misty colours of the background are beautiful! TFS
Cheers Tina :-)

G'day Adam.
I like this vertical version better than the previous horizontal. Seems to have more depth. Leads the eye further into the image. beautifully taken as always.
Regards, Steve.

Very interesting image, full of subtle shapes and colours that can seduce you the longer you look at it. The fog can change the feeling of a place so much, and this is a great example of this. Well done!
