Photographer's Note

This shot was taken from the Westmorland Cairn, 150 yards west from the summit of Great Gable.
It is a view down into Wasdale Head & shows the impressive Wastwater Screes which flank the lake.
The weather was exceptional that day, bright blue sky & no wind at all - very rare when perched over 2900 feet above sea level.
