Photographer's Note

Another picture taken at the inalpe of St-Luc, at the mountain pasture of "Rouaz", last Sunday. On this photograph, you can see cows of the races of Hrens. During this day, many fights took place. Here, one among was wedged in the collar of its adversary... they are all two remained hung one the other during long minutes. The stockbreeders at their side tested some recoveries to help them to release itself, but without success... In front of the power and the weight of such animals, it is probably said that it's better let the nature decide when and how!! Indeed, about ten minutes later, they succeeded to find their freedom, and took again their engagements to find which one was the strongest!!

"Coinces"
