Kleine Schediegg (2.061m/6'762ft) – the pass situated at the dividing range between Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald in Berner Oberland - is the combined top station and restaurant at the Wengernalp Railway (WAB), the world's longest continuous cogwheel railway.

This is the starting point of the Jungfrau Railway (JB), which in 50 minutes take passengers mostly inside the mountain to Europe's highest-altitude railway station at Jungfraujoch/Top of Europe (3.454m/11'333ft). Trains also shuttle skiers to the slopes starting at Eigergletscher, as a part of a complex lift system.

Among the three peaks in the dividing range Tschuggen (2.520m/8'266ft) is undoubtedly the most prominent and beautiful. Nicely serving as a backdrop to the communication center when shot from the Eigergletscher station. The other two and slightly lower are Lauberhorn and Mδnnlichen-Gipfel.

The JB train in front of the building is being made ready to push a carriage of skis up the mountainside, while the WAB trains arrive and depart at the other side of the station. In beautiful weather this is the place to be.

And this is where I'll be next week!
