Intragna is a village on the entrance to Centovalli valley. Train line between Locarno, Switzerland and Domodossola, Italy goes through deep gorges of Melezza river. This route offers the shortest connection between Ticino and French speaking parts of Western Switzerland.

Hi Kari.
A picturesque location right at the border shared by two neighbours. To me, this is one of the most attractive corners in all continental Europe. You captured the scene with a great attention to surrounding details, showing not the bridge and train alone, but also part of the village. TFS!

What a beautiful and equally fascinating photograph!
The scenery, of trees and mountain peaks, is stunning and it seems quite amazing that a train could cross this deep valley at such a height! The bridge seems to be almost floating, supporting a very caterpillar-like train.
I can imagine the views that will be enjoyed from the tall tower on the left!

I knopw this railway line which I used 30 years ago for the first time and I can remember that this valley was impressive and also trhe railway line. Very fine picture showing the train on this amazing fine iron bridge. Very well seen and done.TFS.
