Photographer's Note

The HSB Turning Torso by artist architect Santiago Calatrava is one of the most photogenic buildings I know. A pitty its surrounding is quite a wasteland.

Some facts:
- Completed in 2005 after 4.5 years of construction.
- 190 meters high with 54 floors.
- 90 degree of twist from groundfloor to the top.

Don't let you fool by images on the offical site linked above. That green lawn was photoshoped over a huge parking lot of neighbouring IBM. And the buildings around the Torso look even more box-like than they already are.

Nevertheless, getting a real-word 3D glance of the quirky perspectives is definitely worth a little detour if you're passing by Malmφ (e.g. on your way to lovely Norway as I was).

On that particular day it was hot and the sky full of cirrus clouds cried for the use of a polarizer. After the fact I only used levels and a slight S-curve to increase contrast, saturation was reduced a bit as the polarized sky already had plenty of it.
