Photographer's Note

Three bridges crossing each other in Stockholm. The middle one was bulit in the 1930΄s, the top one in the 1980΄s and the bottom one is new.

In my parents home there is a painting showing the oldest bridge being built. I grew up with that picture which my parents had won in a lottery. They kept the picture for a personal reason. When they were young lovers they lived on each end of the bridge and walked between one another on yet another bridge that runs on a lower lever. This was at the same time as the bridge was being built above their heads and the painter made his picture.

The end of the story is that I grew up with the painting that shows the end of a superstructure construction stage with rebars sticking out into the open sky. It must have meant something, today I am specialist in concrete bridge technique at the higway administration.......
