Photographer's Note

The Turning Torso, under construction in Malmφ, has reached 126m as the 38th floor is being built. That's higher than any previous building (Kronprinsen, 86m) in Sweden's third largest city and when finished will reach 190m consisting of 54 floors.

It will be the highest building in Sweden - outnumbering the Kaknδs Tower in Stockholm by 35 meters - and also higher than any building in Copenhagen, situated only some 25 kms away.

The building is designed by world famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and it is modeled after a human torso in a turning motion with a visible spine. The total twist is 90 degrees and it will be ready for it's tenants in Spring 2005.

However, the pylon legs of the Ψresund bridge between Malmφ and Copenhagen, standing 204 meters tall, are the highest construction in Sweden.

And yes, all four of them are on the Swedish side of the border...
