Photographer's Note

On our way from Santiago de Compostela to Portugal, we spent one day at Lugo, a walled town in Galicia. When we arrived, we saw that they the festivities of San Froilαn (the Patron Saint of the Lugo) had just started. They were announced by this set of umbrellas (they were celebrating the 250 year of them) placed on some kind of white wall (you can see some shadows). I just loved the composition (I included the original picture before cropping as a WS)

This festival takes place during the first two weeks of October and attracts visitors from the surrounding region and beyond. It includes market stalls, traditional Galician products, as well as culinary events (the eating of octopus and partridge) and is centered around preparations for the approaching winter months. Within this period is the celebration of "Domingo das Mozas" (a Sunday event).

Cropped and sharpened.
