Photographer's Note

The Plaza Mayor of Ocaρa (Toledo) is a square of size baroque building began in 1777 by order of Carlos III.

Its plant is of a nearly perfect square of 55 x 52.5 meters, with arms 18 and 17 major sides in the lower sides. The facades are built on piers of rusticated ashlar stone, resting on arches of brick, forming porches or covered walkways for the lifting of two plants that have balconies and dormers above. The surface of the square is paved with boulders forming large caissons.

On the ground of the square converge, through arches, the main streets of the town:
Main Street
Market Street
Roberto Garcia Ochoa Street
St. Catherine Street
Toledo Street
Plaza del Doctor Thorn and Hood

It was declared a National Monument in 1981.
