Sibiu's "Lady in RED"
Walking a little bit around, under the Romanian TE meeting, I spotted this woman in the window not far from the big square. For a hip shooting I think the result was OK. Seems to be a fine interact between her and me - what she was up to was talking to her son (to the left outside the frame) - but of course she spotted the photog strolling around.
The houses on the big square are all shined up on the facade, while in the side streets they still look a bit more worn by age.
I like here her dressing, perfect match to the window 'framing'.
Sibiu (sēbyʊ') , Ger. Hermannstadt, Hung. Nagyszeben, city (1990 pop. 188,385), central Romania, at the foot of the Transylvanian Alps. There are mechanical engineering works and industries producing textile machinery, foodstuffs, and leather. The city is also a market for farm products and cattle. Founded in the 12th cent. by German colonists, Sibiu was destroyed by the Tatars in 1241. In the 14th cent. it became a leading administrative and commercial center of the German communities in Transylvania. It suffered greatly in the wars against the Turks and in the 17th cent. came under Austrian control. With the rest of Transylvania, it was ceded to Romania in 1918. The city preserves much of its medieval character and has a considerable German minority, although many Germans were forced to leave after World War II. Long a cultural center of Transylvania, Sibiu has a state theater, a philharmonic orchestra, and the Bruhenthal museum. The city is an Orthodox metropolitan see and has two cathedrals.

The bold horizontal lines is just fantastic to form the main structure of this compo. The woman is a very pleasant inclusion ... adds life to the scene and scale to dimension. Well captured and composed with very good overall image and color. Excellent work! tfs

Beautiful Picture,
Amazing details the running pattern of the wall and also the windows is ver well captured.
The lady is like a cherry over a cake... just perfect. caugth in just the right expression.

Jack, c'est un portrait en situation. J'aime les lignes de la composition. Les couleurs sortent de l'ordinaire. La femme semble trθs naturelle et la couleur de son vκtement s'harmonise avec les couleurs qui l'entourent.

Great looking photo Jack. The detail in the stone siding, along with the color, is a great surrounding compliment to the woman in the window and the bright pink (red) of her shirt and the shutters.

After seeing Sibiu photos in TE (thanks to your meeting), i'm very willing to see that beautiful city. This one is a good close up to the inhabitants of the city with sharp textures and beautiful tones. I like the charm of the lady in pink.

Hello Jack,
After a four-week absence, giving lectures on a cruise in the Mediterranean, I am back, and what a treasure trove of photo you've submitted in this time. I look forward to visiting these in a systematic manner. This, your last post, is somewhat unusual in your collection, but what a beautiful portrait of the woman in the window. The color and texture of the wall, the expression in the subject's face, the composition and exposure are all first rate. On the Crystal Serenity which I was giving the lectures on, the staff (Captain, Vice-Captain, Chief Engineer...) are all Norwegian. The Vikings are still around, and many of them operate these luxury liners.

Hello Jack,
A lady with a pink T-shirt, together with the pink colour from the window shutters make this picture attractive.
The line in de facade care for perspective, very lovely composition too.
