Photographer's Note

Picture have been taken from Caraiman peak (2300meters altitude).
The cross that can be seen in the picture is a monument dedicated to the Romanian soldiers who died in the first World War. It have been build in 1926-1928 years by the queen Maria of Romania.
The cross is made by steel and it has 30 meters height and 14 meters width.
So that it is visible from very long distances.
During the night is illuminated by 300 electric bulbs with 500 W and can been seen from the resorts of Prahova Valley (Sinaia, Busteni, Azuga, Predeal).
