Pergola in Wroclaw - pergola in the shape of half an ellipse , which was built in the early twentieth century around the pipes (as well as semi-elliptical) pond with a fountain on the exhibition grounds in the eastern part of Wroclaw . Centennial Exhibition, planned for the centenary of the victorious Prussian Battle of Leipzig ( 1813 ) was part of celebrations marking the rise of the Prussian state in Europe. Pergola positioned at the north-east side of Centennial Hall , along with other accompanying facilities (including the Pavilion Four Dome ). Designed by Hans Poelzig as two rows of pillars with reinforced concrete topped with a grate on which the runners are vines , initially approved for the implementation of 31 August 1912 . Later redesigned, as a result of the tender the company responsible for the implementation of Pringsheim Pfeffer & Co., the construction was completed in February 1913 , in March, the alley was covered with gravel and planted with vines poles. According to official data the length of the pergola is 640 meters and has a total of 750 posts. 4 June 2009 launched the multimedia fountain equipped with nearly 300 jets and using lighting effects and sound. In the immediate vicinity of Wroclaw Pergola is a Japanese garden and the rest of Szczytnicki Park .
