Photographer's Note

A couple of kilometers east of Haarlem, there's a great polder, de Waarderpolder. In this polder, there are a lot of small villages. One of them is Penningsveer, which you can see on this picture.

The mill is called "de Veer" (The Feather) and was at work, when I took this picture.
The mill was built in 1701 and the type of mill is a "Buitenkruier".
In 1998 the mill burned down and rebuilt in 2000.
The mill is actually the only thing Penningsveer has to offer, except from a little recreational lake. But it still is a very nice Dutch village.

I cropped this picture a little bit and made it more colourful. Hope you like it.
