Photographer's Note

Haarlem in the morning

This picture is, just as the one I posted recently of Molen de Adriaan, taken early in the morning just after sunrise on a cold but bright winter day.

The river you can see is called het Spaarne and runs through my hometown Haarlem.
The buildings you can see in this picture are, from the left to the right:
De Bakenessertoren, next to it you find de Waag (Weighing-House) and a little bit more to the right het Teylers Museum, the oldest public museum in The Netherlands.
The white drawbridge is called de Gravestenebrug and in the background you can see a television tower, located in de Waarderpolder, a little outside the town.
For more information on the buildings, please visit the links.

The picture was taken around 8.45am. I actually wanted to stay a little bit longer downtown to wait for a bit more sunlight, but had to catch the train.
Hope you like it.
