Photographer's Note

In many places they celebrate carnival with a parade. These parades can differ a lot, but they always want to be special in their own way.
In the province of Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands, they have the tradition of building big, colourful floats with many moving parts. Without the dancing people on it, like in Rio, or people throwing candy, like in the German parades, but just beautifully built floats. Pieces of art.

Even in a small village like Baarle-Nassau, some of the floats are really amazing! And definitely worth visiting!
