Photographer's Note

The shot represents a ceiling of the Rotunda church in Mosta. I have published another shot of thich church few days ago (check out my gallery).

Just to refresh:
The Rotunda other known as the Church of St. Mary is a magnificent domed church in Mosta (central Malta). The Church is claimed to be the third-largest church dome (40 meters in diameter) in Europe - superseded only by St Peter's Basilica in Rome and the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Its design is closely based on the dome of the Pantheon in Rome.

It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and built between the 1830s and 1860s. It was designed by Maltese architect Giorgio de Vasse. In a rather revolutionary move, the church was built over and around the existing one, which was then demolished.

I didn't use tripod (although I've ticked the box below to suggest I did) to take this shot. I simply placed my camera on the ground with my LCD screen down and the lens up, selected long exposure, pressed start on the remote control.
