Photographer's Note
Late in the evening when the streets of Vilnius' Old Town have become rather empty, some of those on scooters take advantage of the opportunity to go fast, passing as unidentifiable ghosts.
I shot this with the aid of a "beanbag tripod." For those unfamiliar, this is a soft bag of beads attached to the bottom of the camera that helps keep it steady when it's propped against a wall, a railing, etc.

Another great photo of Vilnius ! You captured the moment very well.
The only negative thing I see about this photo - it's a bit too dark, some more visible details of the buildings would be nice. Also longer exposure would blur scooters even more and make them more ghost-like. I have noticed that Canon DSLR cameras in auto mode under-expose photos in low light. I usually set exposure compensation to +2/3 EV at night and that works well in most situations.

Ken I love the lighting in this photo. I have to ask you how high of an ISO setting can you use for night shots and still have good resolution? This photo shows very good resolution detail. You certainly held it pretty steady with the bean bag tripod. Good work Ken!

Hi Ken,
An intriguing shot of the streets of Old Town. Good motion effects, with just the right amount of blur. The exposure level is great, with the soft gleam on the pavement and just enough of the exterior facades visible to appreciate. This is a most successful shot, with good "ghost" effects. Regards.

Hi Ken -great night time shot. I'm amazed at how you consistently get such good shots at night, and now the secret is revealed! I'm definitely going to have to get one of these. I like the strange and moody lighting you get at night, and of course the blur from motion too. Excellent!
