Photographer's Note

North-east of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, Ignalina is a city famous for its nuclear plant. But it is also the main town of the Aukstaitija National Park, the oldest of Lithuania's parks. In this park you can find more than 100 lakes, connected by rivers and small streams, and a lot of trekking trails. Plants, birds and other animals are numerous and varied.
Paluse is the village where the National Park Tourist Center is located and it's right on the shore of a big lake.

After a rainy day the sun had come out quite late, but not too late to have a nice ride by bicycle and especially not too late for this incredibly beautiful sunset.
