Photographer's Note

Ok, It was built by the NORMANS (not the normands Bert and Pascal, Thanks guys), the same one that built this neighbourhood of Piazza Armerina, the ruins of the San Giovannis΄ church are quite lovely. When they conquer the island back in 1105, they started to built this church over the catacomb of the first Christian in island. Visit both the temple and the catacomb is quite interesting. What surprised me about this construction is that reminds me a lot to the Cathedral of Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic, even with the palm trees beside. World is full of funny mix or coincidences.
The normans stayed till the 13th century, and there where a great period of peace that allows the place to grow (so no peace, no growing fellows).
I feel arquitectonic today, so I΄ve posted this photo.
