Acquapalombo - Terni - Umbria

Acquapalombo is a fraction of the municipality of Terni (TR) perched on a small hill overlooking the valley at an altitude of 520 meters in the territory of Valserra, in a strategic position along the ancient route from Terni to Spoleto.
Together with the Saints of Battiferro it was part of the defensive system of the valley, where the Terre Arnolfe bordered the Municipality of Terni. The entire valley from Battiferro to Porzano was visible from its lookout tower.
In 1332 it was part of the castellated of Castiglione, together with the villas of Appecano and Poggio Lavarino constituted the so-called Val Peracchia, recorded in the income and outcome book of the Apostolic Chamber, paid the focatico for 61 hearths.
