Altarpiece, former Church of San Simone
Work by Jacopo Zabolino di Vinciolo Umbrian painter of the Spoleto school, active in the late 15th century.
Zabolino had two altarpieces in the church of San Simone, this is probably the first.
There are depicted San Francesco, the blessed Simone, the Virgin and Child, San Bernardino of Siena (canonized in 1450) and Sant'Antonio da Padova.
Work attributed on the basis of archive documents, executed, probably between 1464 and 1466.
Currently the table is kept in the Museum of the Duchy of Spoleto.
