Photographer's Note

This huge structure in the Porto Antico, Genoa, is designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano born in Genoa. On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America by Columbus, the Porto Antico was rebuilt in 1992 and the entire port area was transformed into a tourist center.
One of the attractions is the "Bigo", the name refers to a shipyard crane, it is a bundle of white arms, they support an open air restaurant (on the right) and a real attraction for tourists - a glass elevator rising up to a height of 40 m (on the left).
