Photographer's Note
A shot taken from my home. It was a cold and dry evening, thanks to the wind.
The lights below are from Muggia, a small town south of Trieste. In the sky, the Moon is visible and above it a small dot which is Venus: the two celestial woman symbols.
The effective focal lenght was 112 mm. It has been a compromise between the need of framing both Venus and the ground on one side, and the need for some magnification of the Moon on the other.

Very pleasant shot to look at.
One thing which I love about seeing photos of the moon is its one of the only objects that everybody sees no matter their location.

This simple composition really works for me. The most striking graded change of colour in the sky is balanced by the dark band of ground and the heavenly bodies are echoed in the lights of Muggia. Well captured and thanks, Marko, for sharing.
PS. Looking again at the picture I thought how reminiscent it was of Nativity paintings - then I saw the date it was taken!!

Hey Marko, luna e Venere in un colpo solo!
Intanto sono in ritardo, perchθ diverse foto mi sono 'scappate'!
Ci ho provato piω volte con la luna, e l'unica che mi piaceva non θ stata apprezzata. Questa che hai fatto tu θ di grande impatto, sia per i colori che staccano con la siluette punteggiata di luci e poi sfumano nel blu/viola profondo, sia come composizione degli oggetti.
