Photographer's Note

On my last photo I showed you a Cantus Praeses, now I show you a Fuchs Major, which - if translated literally - means Major Fox. There task is to maintain order and make every participant be at the right place, on the right time during the Szalamander. They do the same task at Szakestιlys. He holds a so called 'fokos' (an axe with a long shaft) in his hands, which was a preferred weapon of the Hungarian light cavalry. This thicker and lighter version was a complementary of mine engineers' uniform back then in the 18th century. In the ws you can have a better look of the weapon.

For more info on the event, please have a look at my previous picture.
