The Temple of Hephaestos, aka the Hephaisteion, is a well-preserved Greek temple at the north-west side of the Agora of Athens, on top of the Agoraios Kolonos hill. It is a Doric peripteral temple.

Hephaestos was the son of Zeus and Hera, the king and queen of the gods. He is the god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.

As blacksmith, Hephaestos made all the weapons for the gods.
