Photographer's Note

"The geographical position of Magnesia, in the centre of mainland Greece and just a short distance from Athens and Thessaloniki, makes a journey here easy and convenient by whatever means you choose to travel.

The airports of Nea Anchialos and Skiathos connect Magnesia with the rest of the world, while the port of Volos links Europe and the Balkans with Asia and Northern Africa.

* From Athens to Volos by road with the KTEL (National Coach Company) coach takes about four hours (Distance in km Athens-Volos: 324).
* From Thessaloniki to Volos by KTEL coach takes about 3 hours (Distance in km Thessaloniki-Volos: 216).
* From Athens to Volos by train on the Intercity takes 4 hours and 30 minutes.
* From Thessaloniki to Volos by train takes 3 hours.
* From Athens to Skiathos by air takes 35 minutes and from Skiathos to Volos by Flying Dolphin takes 1 hour and 30 minutes and by boat 2 hours and 30 minutes.

From abroad, there are international charter flights direct to the Nea Anchialos and Skiathos airports; alternatively one can fly to Athens or Thessaloniki and travel on to Volos by road or rail".
