Photographer's Note

On the village square of Perivoli, this bust of some unlabled general has weathered the hard winters and developed a lovely patina -- except on his face, which apparently someone tried to polish.

But the best touch are the colored stamps applied by the village children to give the poor guy some medals.

He must deserve them; he's immortalized on the square after all, even if I couldn't find out from anyone who he was.
