Photographer's Note

Meisenheim is a small, but very beautiful town in direct vicinity to the former border of (Prussian) Rhineland and (Bavarian) Palatinate. That area is economically unimportant and far from other centres of power, so the town was sometimes occupied, but never destroyed and kept its medieval appearance until today.

Schlosskirche is a late gothic hall church from 1504 in service of the local prince's residence as well as of the town's citizens. The first protestant service was held in 1526 and reformation introduced as early as in 1532.
