Photographer's Note

This is my 100. photo at TrekEarth and it shows something - at the first glance - totally unspectacular. I think, most of you never have seen this, because it's only 4-5 mm and therefore people pass by without noticing it. My photo shows a feminine bloom of a hazelnut. That means, THIS bloom becomes a nut. In the background you can see a part of a male bloom which gives the pollen. In Middle Europe the bloom of the hazelnut is the first in spring. It took 63 "close-ups" until I could post this one.
The hazelnut-bush and me became friends while taking these photos!
