Photographer's Note

Well, I'm sure you've seen it already : this is the French high speed train. My intension here was to make the most accurate as possible picture of this great train and the exercice gets certainly exciting when you can shoot it by standing approximately 10 meters from the line... A excellent opportunity to test your reflex camera shutter speed 10 meters away from this train speeding 300+ km/h !

Unfortunately the weather was bad. The relative low level of light (in comparison to a sunny day) prevented me from making a very sharp picture. My objective cannot go better than f/3.5 at 18 mm and 1/320 sec. shutter speed was the maximum I could make to get the minimum "reasonable" light. I think an f/2.8 min. would have allowed to go beyond 1/400+ or just the sun in my situation.
