Photographer's Note

Chartres - Eure-et-Loir (28) - Center - Loire Valley Altitude 0 Mr. - 42059 inhabitants - Paris 88 km.

The cathedral Notre-Dame of Chartres is one of most famous of the world. The current cathedral was preceded by several buildings. Various churches existed since year 750.
It was registered in 1979 on the list of the world Inheritance of humanity.

A simple summary is not enough to tell the history of this wonder; I suggest you reaching the site of the cathedral via Google.
I await a more favorable weather to be able to photograph in the twilight starting from the panorama than I succeeded in locating by chance.
The streets of the city are in work and the center is difficult to reach during the next two years.
The cloudy sky encouraged me to use a gray grad Cokin filter to avoid the milky sky.
