From 1870, BATEAUX VAPEUR, steamboats, ferried passengers from the region of Mze to Ste and vice versa. It's from 1891 that the crossing of the tang de Thau with steam took for its development to stop in 1951, following the bus competition.

A port was built at Mze by the Phocaean in the 6th century BC, a place inhabited by the Phoenician from the 8th century BC, on land originally occupied by the Iberians.

MZE is a French municiplity, located in the department of the Hrault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 10 749 Mzois in 2009, distributed out of 34.6 km, that is to say 310.7 hab./km.

Mze is the oldest village of the tang of Thau.

History of Mze.

In Mze, in 1996, was discovered by Alain Cabot one of the most important egg layer of dinosaurs and also of skeletons. This paleontological layer of 40 km , one of largest of Europe, date of the secondary era, the end of the cretaceous, -65 million years.
The "Muse-Parc des dinosaures" of Mze, of 5 hectares makes it possible to go back in time.
