Photographer's Note

This is the Cannes war memorial for the fallen soldiers in WW 1. As you may guess, i should have taken it from the other side, but IMO, the port as a background doesn't look so nice. I think the city hall is much better:

Not sure about the writings on the stone. From left to right it is: l'argonne, l'alsace and l'orient. The bronze plates have names of fallen soldiers enlisted and the plates in the bottom say: armee de terre de ler de lair, meaning the land army, the naval forces and the air forces.
