Photographer's Note

Toulouse est surnomme la "ville rose" en raison de la couleur du matriau de construction traditionnel local, la brique de terre cuite.

La place du Capitole, d'une surface de 12.000 m, est situe au centre de la ville, devant le btiment du Capitole (Capitolium), qui abrite la mairie.

La construction du btiment a dur deux sicles, du XVIIme au XIXme.
Sa faade a t btie en 10 ans, partir de 1750, d'aprs des plans de Guillaume Cammas.


J'ai pris cette image avec l'appareil sur le sol de la place.

Toulouse is called "pink city because of the color of local traditional construction material, terra cotta brick.

Capitole Square, which area is 12.000 m, is located in the center of the town, in front of Capitole building (Capitolium), which is City Hall.

The construction of this building lasted two centuries, between XVIIth and XIXth.
Its frontage was built in 10 years, starting in 1750, from Guillaume Cammas plans.

I took this shot with the camera laying on the ground of the square.
