Photographer's Note

This picture was taken driving across the bridge, so really did not have much control over angles etc. It is a magnificent structure that really takes time off the journey from the Le Havre direction to Honfleur.
It is a cable-stayed bridge connecting Le Havre and Honfleur. The main span is 2800ft long and raises 165ft above the water level. Completed in 1995 the bridge held the record for the longest cable-stayed bridge but was beaten by the Tartara Bridge in Hiroshima, Japan, which was completed in 1998.
Facts; cost $465million
used more than 70,000 cubic metres of concrete.
used more than 19,000 tons of steel
has 184 cable stays
