Photographer's Note

This unusual church is located on the outskirts of Imatra, small town on the border with Russia. Church was built in 1957 by architect Alvar Aalto. It is perhaps the most unusual and attractive building, completed in the best architectural traditions of the time.

The name of the church received its three crosses, depicted on the altar and crosses symbolizing the famous Mount Calvary.
The bell tower of the church has the shape of arrows directed upwards.
The primary purpose of creating a church located in a quiet and cozy place, surrounded by birches and pines, was to provide communication and honey God parishioners. Thus, there is nothing distracts a person from his intentions.
