Photographer's Note

My third shot from Hornν nαměstν in Olomouc, I'm planning to add even one more. Some tourists who visit Czech Republic, especially Americans, are surprised when they often see fast food chains in nice old houses in the centre of cities. This is in fact because those chains which are marked as cheap and not so good source of food for masses in the west are definitelly not cheap in compare with ordinary restaurants in Czech Republic. McDonald's, KFC and others are targeting mostly foreign tourists and higher class people. In compare with "normal" Czech restaurants they are usually more expensive (especially drinks), of course except very touristic areas like the centre of Prague and Českύ Těšνn. They can afford it - they're not only more expensive, but they offer some things unusual even for "good" Czech restaurants: no smoking and water (and other non-alcoholic drinks) cheaper than beer.

As a vegetarian I'm not visiting fast foods often, but as a non-smoker I would like if the Czech Republic could join the list of countries where it's banned to smoke in restaurants. People like me would have bigger choice of where they can spend some time with friends than fast food chains (altrough I have nothing against them).
