Photographer's Note

This cairn in Prague on the White Mountain is a memorial to the Battle of White Mountain, which took place on Sunday, November 8, 1620. It was a battle of the Thirty Years' War and ended with the victory of the imperial and ligistic troops. The battle thus sealed the fate of the Czech Estates Uprising and influenced the fate of the Czech state for the next 300 years. Bila Hora is a hill on the western outskirts of Prague, 381 meters high. Cairn with memorial is from 1920.

Tato mohyla v Praze na Bνlι Hoře je pamαtnνkem na bitvu na Bνlι Hoře, kterα proběhla v neděli 8.listopadu 1620. Byla bitvou třicetiletι vαlky a skončila vνtězstvνm cνsařskύch a ligistickύch vojsk. Bitva tak zpečetila osud českιho stavovskιho povstαnν a na dalšνch 300 let ovlivnila osud českιho stαtu. Bνlα Hora je vrch na zαpadnνm okraji Prahy vysokύ 381 metrů. Mohyla s pomnνčkem je z roku 1920.
