Photographer's Note

Groznjan is such a small town, from my research online its population in 2011 was 700 - I'm surprised it's even that high. It wouldn't surprise me if it's lower today.

In our 2 nights here we hardly saw anybody, with the exception of shop owners of art stores and one or two restaurants.

There are so many beautiful street scenes and buildings here to photograph and post on TE, but there are so few people that the scenes are not very 'lively'. I won't let that stop me from posting them, but don't expect to see lots of locals haha.

Here we see a couple of tourists walk through, so I was eager to snap off a photo despite the darkened lighting conditions. I didn't want to brighten the scene too much, I like the ambience.

As for the town of Groznjan, many of its inhabitants are artists, painters and musicians. The town holds an annual Jazz Festival in late July and a painting festival as well.

In the WS i'll show a couple of photos of the charming architecture with my girlfriend - we basically had the entire town to ourselves, like a ghost town.
