Walking in Bruges 2017 on Saturday afternoon with camera in hand.
Bruges Historic Centre, Belgium
On the left in the photo you can see a few of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, this on the Arentplein
Sometimes you walk by carelessly past a work of art, you pay no attention to it because you have other goals in mind, you cannot take everything in as concentrated and you miss something that is really very important. Later you arrive at the same place, and then you are hit and hit by 'The four horsemen of the Apocalypse' a group of statues by Rik Poot. The group is standing in Bruges in the Arentshof, between the Groeninge Museum and the rear of the Church of Our Lady, in a previously closed environment, in the lee, say.I hope that you enjoy it

Hallo John,
Je vergat dat we hier ook nog een glimp opvangen van het belfort.
De foto toont een goede combinatie van frisse lentekleuren op een groen pleintje en de mooie architectuur op een rustig plaatsje.
De klassieke kasseien leiden ons naar een poort aan de rechterzijde.
Een evenwichtige compositie met zeer aantrekkelijke kleuren.

Hello John,
Although the statues are not very prominent it is still a pleasant photo from a nice day with a particularly good light. The light clouds are as important to this photo as the buildings and the square surrounded by a hedge.

Het was een prachtige, zonnige dag en de kleuren zijn daarom heel rijk en aantrekkelijk, vooral de oranje muren en daken in combinatie met het groen van de bomen. De compositie is uitstekend, het is een mooi, rustig stadsgezicht.

The trees and vegetation are adding life to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the statue and of the houses. A good mangement of the strong light which does not hurt the colors output. Have a nice day.

Hello John,
As always, you have written a fascinating and very informative note.
This looks to be a most attractive part of the city and the bright sunlight and fresh leaves on the trees make it even prettier. The statues of the Four Horsemen are not immediately obvious where they are situated behind the hedge, but your complete picture has been carefully and perfectly composed with lovely "lead in" lines.
Glorious light, fresh colours, perfect exposure and excellent detail and sharpness.

Hello John,
The bright spring foliage is very evident in your photograph, creating separated but distinct features within the frame. They help to give strong focal points as well as a sense of perspective.
This area is very neat and the buildings are a fine addition on this bright, spring day.
The statue does not have the impact of the deeply cobbled path, which offers an alternative exit point to that followed by the trees.

Hello John, a cobbled path leads to this small park where are exhibited a group of statues, the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. The big trees and the hedges are well maintained by the municipality. Sharp details, interesting report from Bruge historic center.
